Classic Horse Races to Watch Every Year

Are you interested in getting deeper into horse betting? You’re not the only one! Lots of people love watching these majestic horses have their shot at fame. However, you don’t want to bet the way other people bet: just going with their gut. You want to go in with the best information possible so that your bets have a major impact and the highest chance of making you some money.

One of the first pieces to invest into your “information” bank account would be to know when all of the major races are going to be. Even if you’re not in the US, it’s important to see an eye on American horse events, because they’re so heavily watched. Bets are flying in the air, and that always means that the odds will be good enough for you to get some money on the side.

The first race that we want to draw your attention to would have to be the Triple Crown, which is really three races instead of one. But if a horse can win all three races, they are definitely going to get attention.

Horse Races

The Triple Crown is made up of the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness Stakes, and the Belmont Stakes. We’ll go into each race below.

Letís start with the Kentucky Derby, one of the most attended horse racing events in America. It’s only a two minute long race, but it’s action packed. The best of the best race in the Derby, and it’s a highly televised event.

Then you have the Preakness Stakes, which is run the third Saturday in May, without exception. It’s always held at the same place, too: Pimlico Race Course.

The last part of the Triple Crown is the hardest, because it’s a 1.5 mile track. It’s actually the longest track, and it’s the Belmont Stakes. It is always run at Belmont Park, located in Elmont, NY. It’s open to only 3 year old Thoroughbreds, so you’re really getting to see some prime horses in action.

There are other races that you should be aware of, of course. You should check out the Kentucky Oaks, which is a $1 million race for fillies only, and it’s offered right before the Derby in May.

You also should check out the Breeder’s Cup, a Grade 1 race that is held in November out in Los Angeles, California. It is only for the best of the best, and attracts plenty of attention.

What does it take to win with horse betting? Careful looking at the horse racing form, patience, and the willingness to take risks. But don’t worry, we’ll cover plenty more information on horse betting to help you win more bets!
