The €5 million that is now on offer as prize money in the Prix de L’Arc de Triomphe means it is now the richest turf race in Europe and the second in the world only being the newly formed Everest. It is also the fourth richest horse race in the world only behind the previously mentioned Everest and the Pegasus World Cup and Dubai World Cup.
